Our Story
From humble beginnings back in Devon, two brothers dreamed of living and playing in the Alps. In 1996 they took a gamble and opened Smithy’s Tavern in L’Alpe D’huez, and then Les Deux Alpes in 2002.
Offering up a warm welcome and genuine hospitality to all mountain lovers alike has always been their goal.
By continuing to serve tasty food, good beer and lively music with a smile, it has been the key to their success.
So 25 years down the piste, we hope you continue to enjoy Smithy’s and the mountains as much as we do.
